MrBeast and Thea Booysen have officially tied the knot, exchanging vows during an intimate ceremony on Richard Branson's exclusive Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands. While the YouTube superstar is best known for record-breaking giveaways and blockbuster online productions, the couple deliberately chose a private celebration centred on family, close friends and timeless style rather than spectacle.
The wedding also marked a rare glimpse into the personal life of MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, whose elaborate online challenges have made him one of the world's biggest content creators. Instead of turning his wedding into another viral event, the 28-year-old opted for an understated affair with just 70 guests, proving that even one of the internet's biggest personalities wanted his biggest milestone to remain deeply personal.
A Private Wedding Far From the Spotlight
The celebrations began on 14 July and unfolded over several days on the 74-acre luxury island owned by Virgin founder Sir Richard Branson. Guests enjoyed a relaxed itinerary featuring kitesurfing, snorkelling and encounters with the island's resident flamingos and lemurs before gathering for the wedding ceremony, which was officiated by a family friend who is an ordained minister.
Donaldson had previously revealed that he never wanted his wedding to become another headline-making production despite his global fame. Speaking ahead of the ceremony, he explained that while many expected a grand public proposal or lavish event, he had always envisioned something much quieter.
'My friends thought I would want to propose in a very public way, like some sort of spectacle at the Super Bowl or somewhere else really big like that,' he said. 'But I knew that I wanted it to be the opposite, to be really private and intimate.'
The Bridal Look: Nicole + Felicia Couture Takes Centre Stage
Fashion played a starring role throughout the celebration. Booysen wore a bespoke wedding gown by Nicole + Felicia Couture, featuring elegant floral lace detailing layered over ivory and nude fabrics. The sophisticated design combined timeless bridal elegance with modern couture craftsmanship, making it one of the standout celebrity wedding looks of the year.
Her bridal wardrobe extended beyond the ceremony itself. Booysen prepared for the day wearing a luxurious robe by Banke Kuku, while her make-up was created by Lola's Beauty Mark and her hair was styled by Mikey Lu. Celebrity stylist Jeremy Noig curated her complete bridal wardrobe, ensuring every look reflected understated elegance.
MrBeast's Classic Ralph Lauren Wedding Style
Donaldson complemented his bride in a tailored Ralph Lauren tuxedo, pairing a crisp white dinner jacket with black trousers, a white shirt and a classic black bow tie. Rather than opting for an extravagant designer statement, the YouTuber embraced traditional black-tie tailoring that perfectly matched the sophisticated setting.
Together, the couple's fashion choices reflected the overall mood of the wedding — luxurious without feeling overdone.

Luxury Details From the Reception
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for an elegant reception where the newlyweds shared their first dance to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' hit 'Die With a Smile'.
The evening featured live music before celebrations continued inside the island's main house, where Booysen joked the after-party consisted mainly of card games and board games rather than an extravagant celebrity bash.
The menu reflected the couple's personal tastes, with guests enjoying sushi, Wagyu beef, fresh seafood and an array of gourmet dishes. Instead of choosing a traditional tiered sponge cake, the couple selected carrot cake — Booysen's favourite flavour.
Celebrity event planner Marcy Blum orchestrated the celebrations, while entertainment was provided by On the Move Entertainment, helping create a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere throughout the multi-day event.

How MrBeast and Thea Booysen First Met
The couple's love story began in 2022 when Donaldson travelled to South Africa and met Booysen through a mutual friend during a dinner.
Booysen, a content creator, author and gamer, admitted she had expected the world's biggest YouTuber to be very different in person.
'I thought YouTubers were just sort of a persona, but when I met him, I was quite surprised to see that he's actually a nice guy. He wasn't sitting there with an ego,' she recalled.
Donaldson later sent her a direct message on X asking whether he could read her upcoming novel, The Marked Children. Their conversations quickly developed into a long-distance relationship built around shared interests in gaming, learning and intellectual curiosity.
The pair made their first public appearance together at the Kids' Choice Awards in April 2022 before gradually sharing more of their relationship with fans.
The Christmas Proposal That Changed Everything
Donaldson proposed on Christmas Day in 2024 while both families gathered for the holidays.
'I intentionally dropped a large box to make noise before presenting the real gift — with the ring inside. And then I went down on a knee and proposed,' he explained.
Booysen later revealed she had asked him to wait until she completed her master's degree in human cognitive neuropsychology at the University of Edinburgh before planning the wedding.
'In my mind, we're already married. We talk about children, how we're going to live together when we're 70 years old... this was just another step in the process,' she said.
Why the Couple Chose Privacy Over Publicity
Despite Donaldson's enormous online following and reputation for creating record-breaking productions, the couple intentionally kept cameras away from their wedding day.
Only their professional photographer documented the celebration, allowing family and friends to enjoy the occasion without the pressure of constant social media coverage.
The intimate guest list also reflected the couple's priorities, bringing together just 70 of their closest relatives and friends rather than hosting a star-studded spectacle.
Looking Ahead as Mr And Mrs Beast
Reflecting on the celebration, Booysen described the wedding as everything the couple had hoped for.
'It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality,' she said. 'The difference is now the world knows we're married, but we'll still come home to our house and dogs and cats, and then we're off to our next adventure.'
She also praised her new husband for making every guest feel welcome throughout the celebrations, saying the week brought both families together in a way that made the occasion even more meaningful.
From Booysen's couture bridal gown to Donaldson's timeless Ralph Lauren tuxedo, the exclusive Necker Island ceremony showcased understated luxury rather than excess. It offered a rare glimpse inside one of the internet's most high-profile relationships while proving that, despite his reputation for creating viral spectacles, MrBeast's most important day was one he preferred to share only with those closest to him.
