Nara Smith has revealed the emotional struggle behind being branded a 'tradwife' while celebrating the most important update her family has shared: her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy, is in remission following cancer treatment.
The 24-year-old model and influencer admitted she cried to her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, after feeling that people had reduced her identity to a viral internet label, despite her career as a model and as a working mother.
Known for her homemade cooking videos and glamorous lifestyle content, Nara said she understands why people made the connection, but insists there is far more to her story than the image seen online.
Speaking on Call Her Daddy, she opened up about challenging assumptions surrounding her and revealed why she chose to share Whimsy's health journey with her followers.

Nara explained that the label became difficult to handle when people began ignoring her broader career and achievements.
The influencer, who has worked as a model since she was 14, said she struggled to understand why people overlooked her professional background and focused only on her homemaking videos.
'I'd be like, 'What is happening? Did they not know that I worked as a model? I've been working since I've been 14,' she told podcast host Alex Cooper.
Although she said she could understand where the assumption came from, Nara revealed she eventually felt the need to address the conversation surrounding her.
'I understand where that can come from, but then the more that narrative started swelling, I was like, "Well, let me say something",' she said.
Nara attempted to show another side of her life by sharing content about being a working mother who travels and manages her career alongside raising her children.
However, she said many people continued to view her through the same narrow perspective. 'I realised that a lot of the people that are very, very stuck in this narrative do not want to be corrected,' she explained.
She also recalled a moment when someone on her team refused to work with her, claiming they would not change their opinion of her.
The person allegedly told her: 'I don't care what you say, what you do, what you show me, what Forbes articles you show me of her business. She is a trad wife to me, and I don't wanna work with her.'
The experience made Nara realise that some people had already formed opinions that could not easily be changed.

Away from the online debate, Nara's focus has remained on her daughter's recovery.
She revealed that following Whimsy's second birthday, her daughter reached remission after completing treatment, a moment that brought overwhelming emotion to the family.
'Right after her birthday, she was in remission,' Nara said. 'We finished her last treatment, we rang the bell, it was very emotional.'
The influencer explained that she and Lucky carefully considered whether to share their daughter's diagnosis publicly, as protecting Whimsy's privacy was always their priority.
'To me, her safety and privacy was the most important thing,' she said.
However, after finding support from other parents, nurses, and online communities during their difficult journey, Nara realised sharing her story could help others facing similar challenges.
'I found a lot of community in the hospital, talking to parents or the nurses or going on Reddit and like reading people's stories,' she said.
'The more I kind of went through that, I realised that I find a lot of comfort in knowing that I'm not alone.'
As Whimsy moves forward after reaching remission, Nara hopes people will see beyond the viral labels attached to her name and recognise the full story behind the online persona—a mother, model, and businesswoman navigating both public scrutiny and a deeply personal family journey.
