At 61, Paulina Porizkova has revealed the £65 eye cream she swears by for keeping her eye area looking lifted and sculpted, but her celebrity endorsement comes with a bigger question: can an expensive anti-ageing cream really deliver on its promises?

The former supermodel has become increasingly candid about growing older, often pushing back against the pressure placed on women to disguise their age. Now, she has shared another glimpse into how she cares for her skin, revealing that Estée Lauder's Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt is a key part of her nightly routine.

The 15ml cream currently retails for £65 in the UK, although Estée Lauder is also offering it at a reduced price of £48.75 at the time of writing.

Porizkova reportedly became particularly disciplined with her skincare routine in the six months before her wedding in Italy, and singled out the eye treatment for praise.

'I adore this eye cream,' she said, adding: 'I swear to you, it makes a visible difference.'

But what exactly is behind that claim and is the £65 price tag justified?

Why Paulina Porizkova Swears by the Eye Cream

Porizkova's routine does not stop at one luxury product.

She has described using several Estée Lauder products as part of her evening regime, including Advanced Night Repair serum and overnight treatments. However, it is the Eye Lift + Sculpt cream that has emerged as her standout recommendation.

According to Estée Lauder, the product is formulated to target the appearance of lines around the eyes, including crow's feet, under-eye lines and lines around the inner corners. Its key ingredients include hyaluronic acid, Tripeptide-32 and Hexapeptide-8.

The brand says consumer testing involving 164 women found that eight in ten said their eyes looked more lifted, sculpted and tighter after four weeks of use. Separate clinical testing involving 35 women reported reductions in the appearance of certain dynamic lines after 12 weeks.

Those figures may sound impressive, but they are important to put into context: these are the company's own product tests, rather than independent evidence proving that the cream can reverse the physical effects of ageing.

Does a £65 Eye Cream Really Turn Back the Clock?

This is where the difference between looking younger and actually reversing ageing becomes crucial.

The Eye Lift + Sculpt is designed to improve the appearance of the eye area. Its combination of hyaluronic acid and peptides can help hydrate and cushion the skin, while the brand's testing suggests visible improvements in firmness and the appearance of lines.

But a cream cannot replicate a surgical lift and Porizkova's endorsement should not be interpreted as proof that it can permanently erase wrinkles or reverse ageing.

What makes her recommendation particularly interesting is that the model has not built her image around pretending she has escaped ageing. Instead, she has repeatedly spoken about accepting getting older while still taking pleasure in looking after herself.

That makes her £65 skincare secret less about achieving impossible perfection and more about maintaining the appearance of healthy, hydrated and cared-for skin.

So, does it live up to the hype?

For Porizkova, the answer appears to be a confident yes. The product has ingredients and manufacturer testing behind its claims of improving the look of lines, firmness and lift. But the evidence supports visible skincare improvements, not a miraculous reversal of ageing.
