A months old livestream featuring Twitch streamer Rakai has exploded across social media once again, putting him back at the centre of an online storm. The viral clip shows the young content creator reacting dramatically after viewers donated £7,460 ($10,000) to The Prison Doctor's children's charity instead of sending the money to his stream.

Although the moment originally came from a November 2025 broadcast, its latest return has sparked fresh accusations of streamer entitlement, with many users arguing that the footage has not aged well.

The Old Clip Is Going Viral Again

The clip resurfaced after being shared by X account @BroWire_, quickly racking up more than one million views and thousands of comments. In the video, Rakai can be seen making exaggerated facial expressions and animated gestures as he reacts to learning that viewers had donated the money to charity rather than to him.

The moment immediately reignited criticism, with many social media users claiming the reaction reflected an unhealthy expectation that fans should prioritise supporting streamers over charitable causes.

One user wrote, 'I'm considering myself superior to everyone who watches this little shit. And that's a pretty damn low bar.' Another commented, 'This kid needs genuine help. He can't read, write. Does he even know what a charity is? He cannot be the future of streaming.'

Fans Say It Lacks Context

Not everyone agreed with the criticism. Several viewers argued that the viral clip was missing important context and that Rakai was not reacting to a children's charity donation itself. One supporter claimed, 'Yall just read anything and believe it. He was joking and then he thought it was The Prison Doctor live himself, not a charity.'

While that defence gained some support, it did little to slow the growing criticism, as many viewers said the resurfaced clip only added to concerns surrounding Rakai's previous comments about charity.

Past Charity Comments Resurfaced

The latest backlash has also revived discussion of another controversy involving Rakai from August 2025. During a livestream with fellow creator Ray, Rakai read a Twitch chat message encouraging him to donate to MrBeast's TeamWater campaign, an initiative created to raise £29.8 million ($40 million) to provide clean drinking water to two million people.

Instead of taking the suggestion seriously, Rakai laughed while asking viewers whether they had donated themselves. Ray joined in, joking that the people the campaign aimed to help 'will be fine'. The short exchange spread rapidly online, prompting criticism from viewers who felt the pair were mocking a charitable project.

MrBeast Responded

The TeamWater clip even caught the attention of MrBeast himself. After the video circulated on X, the YouTuber responded with a single '🥲' emoji. The brief reply quickly went viral and became one of the most shared reactions to the controversy.

At the time, many internet users praised MrBeast for avoiding a public argument while still making his feelings clear. The resurfaced charity meltdown has now encouraged many people to revisit that incident, with critics arguing that both moments point to a pattern rather than an isolated misunderstanding.

Streamer Culture Faces Scrutiny

The renewed attention has also sparked wider conversations about the relationship between streamers and their audiences. Many questioned whether some creators have become too reliant on viewer donations, particularly when charitable causes are involved.

While some replies crossed the line into personal abuse, others criticised those comments as excessive. The resurfaced clip has once again placed Rakai under intense scrutiny, with the discussion shifting beyond one viral moment to what fans expect from today's biggest streamers.
