Zendaya brought a familiar piece back to Paris Fashion Week, but gave it a completely different mood. The actress attended Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2027 show on Tuesday, 6 October, wearing a dramatic ivory lace bolero with a simple white tank top, straight-leg blue jeans and pointed white pumps.

The relaxed styling was a sharp contrast to the more elaborate look she wore with the same Louis Vuitton piece earlier this year. While the outfit was casual by Zendaya's usual red-carpet standards, the voluminous ruffles kept the look firmly in statement-fashion territory, prompting plenty of reactions from fans online.

The Bolero Makes a Return

Zendaya arrived for the Louis Vuitton show at the Louvre's Place du Carrousel, wearing the custom ivory lace bolero designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. The intricate piece featured prominent ruffles around the neckline and sleeves, giving the otherwise understated outfit a distinctly romantic finish.

Instead of pairing it with another elaborate gown, the actress wore the bolero over a plain white tank top and straight-leg jeans. She finished the look with pointed white pumps, allowing the ornate jacket to remain the focal point.

However, the statement piece was not new. Zendaya first wore the custom Louis Vuitton bolero in July at the Paris premiere of The Odyssey. On that occasion, it was styled with a matching white lace cut-out gown and pearlescent satin pumps that created a much more formal silhouette.

Fans Go Wild for Ruffles

Zendaya's refined styling quickly sparked a mix of admiration and jokes among fashion fans online.

One user described the look as 'serving casual glam', adding that Zendaya is 'booked and styled beyond belief'. Another joked that the outfit had the energy of a woman whose partner had 'just brought home a $100 million check', referring to Tom Holland.

Others focused on the unexpected combination of the outfit. One fan wrote: 'Short hair, Zendaya in denim and dramatic Louis Vuitton ruffles... yeah, she won fashion week again.' Another added: 'Jeans never looked this glamorous 😍 Law Roach is a visionary!'

The unusual pairing also drew praise for making a potentially difficult ensemble look effortless. 'White ruffles with jeans should be a risky choice, but she makes it look unfairly easy,' one commenter wrote.

However, not everyone was immediately convinced, with one person comparing the dramatic ruffles to 'a roll of toilet paper'. One fan pushed back, calling the comment wild and insisting the outfit was 'one of her better looks', while describing the ruffles as giving a 'Victorian lampshade' effect.

Zendaya & Louis Vuitton

The Louis Vuitton appearance was particularly fitting because Zendaya has been a Louis Vuitton House Ambassador since 2023. The French fashion house introduced her as a new ambassador in April that year, featuring her in a campaign for its Capucines handbag.

She has since become a regular presence at the maison's runway shows. For the Spring/Summer 2027 presentation, Zendaya joined fellow Louis Vuitton ambassadors including Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan and Lisa in the front row.

The show, designed by Ghesquière, marked the closing of Paris Fashion Week. The futuristic presentation featured a set built around flying-car-inspired sculptures, with Zendaya among the major celebrity arrivals.
