Former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul has alleged that President Donald Trump raped her at New York City's Plaza Hotel in November 1993 after promising to help her obtain a US visa and gain admission to New York University (NYU). Her account is detailed in a report released on 26 October by Democratic staff on the House Judiciary Committee examining Trump's alleged ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The White House has denied the allegations, with spokeswoman Lauren Bis dismissing them as false and describing the report as a politically motivated attempt to discredit Trump. Trump has not been charged with a crime in connection with Keul's allegations.
Beatrice Keul Details Alleged Assault
According to the report, Keul was working as a model and financial services professional when she was recruited by Jill Harth to attend the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant in Atlantic City and New York in November 1993. During a press luncheon at the then-Trump-owned Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, Trump allegedly approached her and offered to help her gain admission to NYU.

Modelling agent Paolo Zampolli was reportedly involved in arranging a US visa, while Epstein allegedly approached Keul shortly afterwards and introduced himself as Trump's best friend. Epstein also offered to cover her travel and accommodation costs for a party at Mar-a-Lago, according to the report.
Later that day, a representative allegedly invited Keul upstairs for a private meeting with Trump. Believing the encounter could advance her career and education, she agreed to go to a suite, where she told House Judiciary Committee staff that Trump grabbed her from behind and raped her.
According to the report, Keul described the alleged assault as 'brutal', claiming Trump tore her dress and left her bleeding and bruised in several places. She also alleged that he pressured her to remain silent, telling her, 'The show must go on.'
Keul reportedly completed the pageant in a terrified 'daze' before returning to Switzerland. She declined to participate in another Trump-sponsored pageant in Hawaii several weeks later, according to the report.
Several months after the alleged assault, Trump allegedly called Keul in Switzerland and renewed his offers to help her obtain a visa and gain admission to NYU. She declined, the report states.
Keul Previously Described Alleged Sexual Advances
Keul previously spoke publicly about her encounter with Trump in an October 2024 interview with the Daily Mail. She alleged that he kissed and groped her and tried to lift her dress at the Plaza Hotel. She said she managed to resist his advances, attributing her ability to fight him off in part to her height and strength.

The new report contains a more serious allegation. Keul told House Democrats that the encounter amounted to rape, providing further details about the alleged assault that were not included in her earlier public account.
The report also cites accounts from people connected to the pageant that Democratic staff say support aspects of Keul's account. However, the material presented by the committee staff does not constitute a judicial finding that the alleged assault occurred.
Report Examines Trump's Ties to Epstein
The report examines accounts involving 11 women. Five directly accuse Trump of rape or sexual assault in Epstein's company or presence, according to Democratic committee staff. The other accounts describe different encounters and circumstances that the report's authors consider relevant to their examination of Trump's relationship with Epstein.

Democratic staff also argue that beauty pageants, modelling agencies and social events provided opportunities for powerful men to approach vulnerable young women. Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, faced federal sex-trafficking charges in 2019. He died in jail that year while awaiting trial. Trump has denied wrongdoing related to Epstein, while the White House maintains that the president expelled him from Mar-a-Lago because he was a 'creep'.
The report was released by Democratic staff on the House Judiciary Committee and does not constitute a court ruling or a bipartisan finding that the allegations are true. Keul's claims have not been established as facts in court.
