Cruz Beckham has appeared to fuel speculation over the Beckham family feud after sharing a pointed post celebrating his loved ones–just hours after his estranged brother Brooklyn Beckham enjoyed a romantic night out with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham in Venice.
The 21-year-old musician shared a photograph featuring David and Victoria Beckham, siblings Romeo and Harper, and their partners, including Cruz's girlfriend Jackie Apostel and Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Brooklyn, 27, was notably absent from the family gathering, with Cruz captioning the image simply with a red love heart.
The timing of the post has attracted attention because it came shortly after Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, were photographed looking loved-up in Venice, where Nicola was being honoured with a Rising Star Award at the Kinéo Awards. The independent ceremony takes place alongside the Venice Film Festival.
Cruz' Cryptic 'Family' Message
While Cruz did not mention Brooklyn by name, his wider message placed a strong emphasis on the people closest to him.
Reflecting on his recent performances with his band The Breakers, Cruz wrote that he was grateful for everyone around him, describing them not only as his 'best friends' but also as his 'family'.
He then singled out Jackie, praising her for supporting him and his music career. Cruz credited her with helping with everything from creative work and strategy to management, adding: 'We are a team' and telling her that he loved her.
The message was affectionate rather than openly hostile. However, the combination of Cruz celebrating his family, Brooklyn's absence from the photograph and the timing of the post has led to speculation that it was intended as a subtle message to his older brother. Recent reports have similarly described the post as appearing to underline family togetherness.
There is no confirmation from Cruz that the post was aimed at Brooklyn.
Brooklyn and Nicola's Loved-Up Venice Night
The social media update came after Brooklyn and Nicola put on a united display during their Venice appearance.
Brooklyn accompanied his wife as she attended the Kinéo Awards, where she was recognised for her work as an actress, writer and producer. The couple were also photographed together at the Golden Globes X Aman Beverly Hills cocktail party, appearing close as they posed for photographers.
Later, Brooklyn stayed by Nicola's side on the red carpet, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her on the cheek. Nicola wore a dramatic Balenciaga gown for the evening, while Brooklyn opted for a classic black-tie look.
Nicola also made a point of thanking Brooklyn during her acceptance speech. Addressing the audience, she said: 'My family are my everything' before thanking her parents, brothers and Brooklyn, adding: 'You always believe in me.'
Her public tribute to her husband came as the pair continue to present a united front amid the ongoing tension surrounding Brooklyn's relationship with his parents and siblings.
Inside the Beckham Family Rift
The latest speculation comes months after Brooklyn publicly addressed his fractured relationship with his family.
In January, he issued a lengthy statement on social media in which he accused his parents, David and Victoria, of attempting to interfere with his marriage to Nicola. He also said he had no plans to reconcile with his family at that time.
Brooklyn made several allegations concerning his family's treatment of Nicola and their 2022 wedding, while also criticising what he described as an emphasis on publicity and social media appearances.
Those claims were made by Brooklyn himself and have not been independently established as fact. Since then, the siblings have continued to live visibly separate lives. David, Victoria, Romeo, Cruz and Harper have regularly appeared together, while Brooklyn and Nicola have largely maintained their own public life.
The contrast was particularly noticeable during Cruz's recent festival appearances, when his family turned out to support him, and Brooklyn was not pictured with them.
Cruz Looks Ahead
Away from the family drama, Cruz is enjoying a significant moment in his music career.
The singer has performed with The Breakers at both Reading and Leeds Festival this summer, with his family supporting him during the milestone performances. His latest post appeared primarily to celebrate those who have helped him along the way.
That context makes it impossible to know whether the reference to 'family' was deliberately directed at Brooklyn or simply an expression of gratitude.
For now, Cruz has not publicly addressed the speculation. But with Brooklyn and Nicola putting on a loved-up display in Venice just hours earlier, his carefully timed family post has inevitably added another chapter to the Beckham family's very public rift.
