The Biebers took 'opposites attract' rather literally this Halloween. Hailey Bieber earned her wings as an angel, while husband Justin apparently decided there was more fun to be had on the other side.
The couple unveiled their contrasting costumes in a Halloween photoshoot, with Hailey dressed in a white feathered bra, oversized wings, a halo, black shorts, and heels. Justin went in the opposite direction with an entirely red ensemble, complete with a horned beanie, sunglasses, and red sneakers from his Skylrk label.
If the costumes were supposed to represent the proverbial angel and devil sitting on someone's shoulders while they're on the brink of questionable life decisions, the Biebers at least made choosing a side look fashionable.
Some Fans Weren't Feeling Justin Bieber's Devil Costume
It was a fairly straightforward angel-and-devil couples costume, but some commenters weren't exactly feeling heavenly about it. While plenty enjoyed the transformation, others took particular issue with Justin's choice of character. 'I just wanna see Justin singing worship again, not dressed as the devil. This makes me sad', one commenter wrote beneath the photos.
Another went even further than most would expect for a playful Halloween costume, writing, 'I rebuke this in the name of Jesus Christ'. Other comments doubled down on the religious objections, although the devil costume itself wasn't particularly sinister.
Justin's version looked less ruler of the underworld and more streetwear enthusiast who had temporarily grown horns for All Hallows' Eve. At the same time, Hailey's enormous feathered wings and halo made sure nobody had to guess which side she had picked.
The family didn't leave all the Halloween fun to Mum and Dad, either. Hailey offered a glimpse of their two-year-old son Jack Blues Bieber trick-or-treating in what appeared to be a white ghost costume. Apparently, being the offspring of an angel and a devil calls for staying neutral and adorable.
Baby Jack Already Has an Impressive Halloween Résumé
At only two years old, Jack has already experienced enough family costumes to start building his own Halloween archive. For his first Halloween in 2024, the then-two-month-old joined his parents for a Kim Possible-inspired family transformation. Hailey became the red-haired teenage crime-fighter, while Justin dressed as her best friend and eventual boyfriend, Ron Stoppable. That left Jack with arguably the funniest role of the three: Ron's pink naked mole rat, Rufus.
The Biebers leveled up the following year by becoming the Parr family from The Incredibles. Justin suited up as Mr. Incredible, Hailey became Mrs. Incredible, also known as Elastigirl, and their appropriately named baby Jack transformed into Jack-Jack.
One costume obviously wasn't enough for the youngest Bieber that year. Hailey also dressed him as a miniature version of his dad circa 2010, recreating Justin's early My World look with white denim and the unmistakable purple hoodie. Bieber fever had officially become hereditary.
This year, Mum and Dad have temporarily landed on opposite sides of the moral compass in terms of Halloween dress-up, proving that night and day look quite good together. Who knew a devil and an angel could be a match made in heaven?
