Allie Shehorn is a Hollywood makeup artist who became the focus of a widely reported criminal case after surviving a violent stabbing incident in 2024. The attack involved How I Met Your Mother actor Nick Pasqual, her ex-boyfriend.
A private relationship-related tragedy soon turned into a public courtroom case. The severity of the attack and the eventual sentencing drew widespread attention across the entertainment industry and beyond.
According to court reporting, Shehorn survived multiple stab wounds and later testified during the trial, which played a key role in the prosecution's case.
Who Is Allie Shehorn?
Away from the courtroom and headlines, Allie Shehorn is a professional makeup and special effects (SFX) artist working in the film industry.
She has worked on several notable productions, including Babylon, Mean Girls, and Rebel Moon, and most recently, Obsession. She has built her career in the fast-paced world of Hollywood behind-the-scenes work.
Her work involves detailed creative artistry on film sets, helping shape the visual identity of characters on screen. Colleagues and industry reporting have since highlighted her professional background as she continues to recover from the incident and remain active in the field.
What Happened During the Attack?
The details presented in court were deeply disturbing.
Fox News reported that Pasqual allegedly broke into Shehorn's home in Sunland, California, in May 2024 and carried out a violent assault.
Shehorn suffered multiple stab wounds across her body, with reports citing more than 20 injuries. The wounds affected areas including her neck, chest, back, and arms, and required urgent, extensive medical intervention.
Despite the severity of her injuries, Shehorn survived after emergency surgery and intensive care treatment. Medical teams worked to stabilise her condition following the attack, which was described in reporting as life-threatening.
Pasqual later fled the scene, with authorities eventually locating him at a border checkpoint in Texas as he attempted to leave the country, according to court coverage.
Days before the attack, Shehorn reportedly obtained a restraining order against the actor. She alleged that the relationship had become abusive.
In her testimony, she described a violent confrontation, recalling how she locked herself inside before he allegedly forced his way through the door. 'I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open, and I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there's another lock on that door', she said, according to ABC7.
Nick Pasqual's Sentencing & Case Outcome
The legal process surrounding Pasqual recently concluded as he was found guilty of attempted murder, rape, and other related charges connected to the attack on Shehorn.
The conviction followed a trial in which prosecutors presented physical evidence, medical reports, and Shehorn's testimony. The jury ultimately found him guilty on multiple felony counts, including burglary and domestic violence-related offences.
He was sentenced to 32 years to life in prison, closing a case that had drawn widespread media attention due to both its brutality and its connection to the entertainment industry.
Prior to these events, Pasqual was an actor who took on small roles in television and film projects, including brief appearances in productions such as How I Met Your Mother and other screen credits. While not a widely prominent Hollywood figure, he worked intermittently in the entertainment industry over the years.
