Jade Thirlwall found a rather solid way to celebrate 'Angel of My Dreams' getting its wings again. After her 2024 solo debut unexpectedly returned to the charts more than two years later, the singer transformed herself into a gargoyle for Heidi Klum's annual Halloween party.
Professionally known as JADE, the singer arrived at Klum's 25th Halloween bash covered from head to toe in grey, complete with enormous feathered wings, and stone-like cracks painted across her skin. The patches of moss made her look like she had just climbed down from an ancient cathedral. Her sculptural white-grey hair, matching contact lenses, and draped fabric completed the weathered-statue illusion.
Think Victoria's Secret Angel who looked Medusa straight in the eye, and you'll get JADE's petrifyingly gorgeous Halloween costume. She even had a punny name for the creation, writing on Instagram: 'Gargoyle of your dreams x'. The reference was particularly timely considering 'Angel of My Dreams' has suddenly found itself having one very big second heyday.
JADE Turned Her Viral Hit Into a Halloween Costume
The former Little Mix member's stone angel was a nod to her debut solo single, which recently went viral again after soundtracking Kylie Jenner's surprise appearance at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Jenner walked the runway wearing massive white angel wings and the $50 million Fantasy Bra while 'Angel of My Dreams' played as her soundtrack. The combination sent the 2-year-old song flying back up the charts.
Spotify streams for the track surged 4,300% globally following the runway moment. In the UK, 'Angel of My Dreams' subsequently returned to the Official Singles Chart at No. 13, more than two years after originally debuting and peaking at No. 7.
JADE appeared just as entertained by the unlikely revival. In a TikTok filmed aboard the London Underground, she joked: 'Nobody on this tube knows that my debut single was playing while Kylie Jenner wore the fantasy bra at the VS fashion show'.
'Angel of My Dreams' Started JADE's Solo Era
Released on 19 July 2024, 'Angel of My Dreams' officially introduced JADE as a solo artist following Little Mix's hiatus. The deliberately chaotic pop track samples Sandie Shaw's 1967 Eurovision-winning song 'Puppet on a String' and became JADE's first solo UK Top 10 hit.
Its subject was surprisingly less heavenly than its title suggested. As told by Yahoo News, she described the song as a love-hate letter to the music industry, exploring both her obsession with pop stardom and the much darker side of working within it.
'I have a lot to say about that, good and bad', she explained at the time. 'Angel of My Dreams' was her 'love letter to the industry', capturing how much she loved it alongside the 'trials and tribulations' that came with it.
The single eventually became the lead track from her 2025 debut album, That's Showbiz Baby!. Her solo era also earned her Best Pop Act at the 2025 BRIT Awards, where she performed 'Angel of My Dreams' in an elaborate five-act production that ended with her flying above the stage as an angel. Given its resurgence of popularity, even time could not clip this song's wings.
