The result is 'Om-A-Nom (Shark Week)', a quirky track that aims to deliver a serious message through a catchy tune. With the potential to rival 'Baby Shark', Ken Jeong is joined by a duo of singers while Grammy-nominated singer, Rei Ami, makes a guest appearance.
The sharp-witted track soundtracks K-pop Shark Heroes, a special that makes Shark Week look like a reunion of K-pop Demon Hunters.
Sink Your Teeth Into the Concept
At the centre of K-pop Shark Heroes, aside from the sharks, of course, is Ken Jeong, who takes on the role of unlikely spokesperson for these apex predators of the sea.
Instead of the usual 'terrifying ocean predator' angle that gives everyone flashbacks to films like Jaws, the special flips the script. The goal is to make people see sharks differently—less nightmare fuel, more misunderstood creatures.
