Kendall Jenner is finally addressing one of the longest-running rumours about her relationship with Cara Delevingne. In The Kardashians Season 8 trailer, Jenner directly denies ever dating Delevingne before joking about having sex with her. The trailer was released on 17 September, ahead of the show's premiere.
The exchange begins after Caitlyn Jenner asks Kendall about her love life, leading her to address the longstanding speculation about Delevingne.
'There's definitely a rumour that Cara and I dated, which is not true,' she said.
The trailer then shows Jenner and Delevingne together at a fashion event, where Jenner playfully responds to the rumours.
'By the way, I have nothing against having sex with Cara,' she said. 'Never say never, right?'
Delevingne, sitting beside Jenner, laughs at the comment. The exchange does not confirm that the two have had a sexual relationship.
A Decade-Long Friendship
Jenner and Delevingne have been close since the early years of their modelling careers and have referred to themselves as 'CaKe', a combination of their names. Jenner previously credited Delevingne with helping open doors for her when she was starting out in modelling.
In a 2024 Vogue interview, she described Delevingne as one of the most recognisable models outside the industry at the time. However, their close friendship and intimate 2014 LOVE magazine shoot have contributed to years of public speculation about their relationship
Jenner's Sexuality Speculations
The Cara Delevingne rumours come months after Jenner addressed separate speculation about her sexuality in January 2026. During an appearance on Owen Thiele's In Your Dreams podcast, Jenner addressed online speculation about her sexuality, including claims that she was secretly a lesbian.
She said the speculation bothered her because of the way people discussed her sexuality, adding that – based on her understanding of herself – she would have come out if she were a lesbian.
Jenner also said she was open to future experiences, a comment that has since resurfaced alongside her remarks about Delevingne. The new trailer, however, does not indicate any change in Jenner's sexuality. Instead, it focuses on the dating rumours and Jenner's playful response.
Who Has Kendall Jenner Dated?
Jenner has been linked to actor Jacob Elordi since April 2026, while Delevingne has been dating musician Minke since early 2022. The pair first met as children at boarding school before reconnecting years later.
Before Elordi, Jenner's high-profile relationships included Harry Styles, Jordan Clarkson, A$AP Rocky, Blake Griffin, Ben Simmons, Devin Booker and Bad Bunny.
Previously, Jenner spoke about wanting to settle down and have children someday in a February 2026 Vogue France interview.
'Yes, of course. I want to have them, but not right now,' she said. 'I want to make sure I can dedicate a lot of time to them, and for the moment, I'm still too busy.'
Despite this, Jenner has made it clear that she values her independence and freedom while remaining open to marriage and having children in the future.
The Kardashians Season 8 premieres on Hulu on October 8 and will follow the Kardashian-Jenner family through new relationships, personal developments, and the next chapter of their lives.
