Keshia Chanté has confirmed that Drake is not the father of her unborn baby, addressing online speculation that resurfaced after she announced her pregnancy. The Canadian singer and TV personality recently revealed that she is expecting her first child, but has chosen to keep the identity of the baby's father private.
That privacy, however, did little to stop fans from guessing, with her famous ex quickly pulled into the speculation. Both Chanté and Drake have since shut down the rumours, while Chanté has revealed that the father is also a well-known name in the music industry.
Drake Denies Being Keshia Chanté's Baby Daddy
Drake's representative was quick to shut down the speculation, denying that the rapper is the father of Chanté's baby. His team called the rumours 'inaccurate' after they started spreading online following her pregnancy announcement.
Meanwhile, Chanté also addressed the rumours herself. During an interview with CP24, she directly confirmed that Drake is not the father. She explained that she and the rapper had even discussed the sudden speculation and appeared amused by how quickly the rumour had spread.
While Chanté has not revealed the man's identity, her representative told TMZ that her unborn son's father is a 'public figure in music'. The singer has been protective of her privacy throughout the pregnancy, reportedly keeping the news to herself for months before announcing it publicly.
Chanté shared her pregnancy news on Instagram on 6 October, revealing that she is expecting a boy. She also joked about her son's potential musical future, teasing that his album could drop in summer 2027.
Inside Chanté and Drake's Past Relationship
The two have a long history that goes back years, long before Drake became one of the biggest names in music. Chanté and Drake dated when they were younger and later remained friends. Drake has spoken warmly about their relationship over the years, including during his 2022 OVO Fest performance, when he introduced Chanté as his 'first ever girlfriend'.
Their history has also kept Chanté connected to Drake's music. She has long been associated with the 'Kiki' referenced in his 2018 hit 'In My Feelings', although the song's inspiration has been discussed in different ways over the years.

So, Who Is Drake Dating Now?
Drake has also kept his current love life relatively private. While the rapper has been romantically linked to several famous women over the years, he has not publicly confirmed a current relationship.
His past dating history includes names such as Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Serena Williams. More recently, online attention has also focused on his interactions with streamer and content creator Pinkchyu.
The pair first met on Drake's viral 20-v-1 dating livestream in August, where he selected her as his 'wife' for the show and later promised to buy a house for her mother. Drake subsequently appeared alongside Pinkchyu in the 'Princess' music video, and the pair were later seen together during a private dinner at Toronto's Casa Loma. While their increasingly public interactions have fuelled dating speculation, neither has publicly confirmed that they are romantically involved.
On the other hand, Drake is already a father to his son Adonis, whom he shares with French artist Sophie Brussaux. The rapper has largely kept his son out of the spotlight, although he has occasionally shared glimpses of their life together on social media.
