Kim Kardashian's latest magazine shoot has not gone down well with one corner of the internet. The SKIMS founder fronts The Sunday Times Style's 4 October 2026 issue, photographed by Daniel Sachon. A thread on r/popculturechat, which had 96 comments at the time of writing, is full of jokes about the pictures, with some commenters questioning how heavily edited they look.
The cover line reads 'Being Kim', with an interview by Gavanndra Hodge inside. In it, Kardashian said, 'I was really single for five years, and that felt great', adding that she 'wanted to completely heal and just work on myself', according to Sports Illustrated. She discussed the period before her relationship with Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
It was the photos rather than the interview that got people talking. The editing claims come only from commenters, and the thread offers no confirmation either way.
Four Looks, One Shoot
The cover shows Kardashian in a black bra, a leather wrap skirt with a high slit, dark sunglasses and a black handbag. Other pictures in the Reddit post show a white distressed corset-style dress, a plush brown coat over a nude bodysuit and lace skirt, and a pale blue minidress worn over a nude bodysuit. Reality Tea reported that a nude SKIMS bodysuit and an Alaïa micro minidress, priced at $2,907, were among the looks.
'Ew Boring, Bye'
The blunt replies were among the most popular. 'Ew boring, bye,' wrote bongwaterbetch, earning 71 upvotes. Another user, mincedbreakfast, wrote, 'We don't like her,' which got 45. A GIF reply from overpregnant, captioned 'How 'bout no', drew 115, while hyperbravo posted a GIF captioned 'We don't do that here', alongside the words 'Sorry but no'.

Others said the pictures felt familiar. 'They look like every other single photo she has ever taken,' wrote June-Rose98, whose comment drew 33 upvotes. A reply from nimbusrav agreed and said they felt she 'did this photo shoot 10 years ago, when the nude trend started'.
The Seasoning Joke
The line used in the headline came from JFeisty, who wrote, 'If she was a seasoning, she'd be flour.' It collected 123 upvotes. Turbulent-Fondant455 followed with, 'If she were a book, she'd be two books', which picked up 25.

Londundundun said they did not get the joke but that it 'feels insulting which I approve of lol'. Another commenter, PeachManzie, pointed out that the quote is 'literally from Louise from Bobs Burgers', a reference to the animated series 'Bob's Burgers'.
The Photoshop Claims
The most heated discussion centred on the second picture. 'I'm sorry but pic number 2 is obscene,' wrote scarletbananas, who said the waist looked 'nearly the same size as her neck' and that this was 'NOT something that should be promoted as a beauty norm'. Larrylurk3r wrote, 'The photoshop is laughable,' adding that they 'legit cackled at the second photo'.
DueEntertainer0 asked, 'Where are her organs at', a comment that got 128 upvotes. Goddamn_Roxanne claimed that her waist was 'smaller than her head in that pic'.
Not everyone agreed it was editing. 'Pic 2 is a corset,' wrote Rug-bae, who got 37 upvotes and added that it is boring to see her 'only schtick' be that she can 'squeeze herself into misogynistic clothing'.
None of these claims about the photos has been confirmed. They are commenters' opinions on one Reddit thread, and nothing in it settles the question.
