Sandra Bullock may not think she belongs on a red carpet, but fans appear to have rejected that opinion on sight.
The Oscar-winning actress recently opened up about walking premieres alongside Practical Magic 2 co-star Nicole Kidman, telling Amy Poehler on the Good Hang podcast that she does not consider herself a 'red carpet gal'.
Bullock recalled looking back at photos from the film's London premiere and wondering why she appeared to have what she jokingly called 'stink face', despite believing she had successfully worked the carpet at the time.
In true fandom style, the self-deprecating comments were immediately dismissed by any supporter with access to Wi-Fi.
Sandra Bullock's Red Carpet Magic
Bullock admitted that posing on carpets does not come naturally to her, especially when standing beside Kidman, whom she lovingly described as a 'goddess'.
She even joked that Kidman should perhaps be removed from anything they appear in together because, frankly, competing with a red carpet goddess sounds exhausting.
Poehler, however, immediately challenged Bullock's self-assessment, telling her she looked better than ever.
And the internet appears to agree, because she appears to have failed to recognise the other goddess in the room: herself.
While promoting the podcast episode on Reddit, fans flooded the comments with praise.
'Sandra Bullock is so beautiful,' one wrote.
'So striking!!' another added.
Then came the comment that practically writes the headline itself: 'She's beauty and she's grace; she's Miss United States.'
Gracie Lou Freebush would be proud. Gracie Hart would probably shrug and eat pizza.
Fans Are Not Accepting Sandra Bullock Slander
The same energy followed Bullock over to YouTube, where viewers seemed less interested in debating whether she belongs on Hollywood red carpets and more interested in reminding her that they have already decided she does.
'Sandra Bullock is a Hollywood star who somehow feels like she doesn't belong to Hollywood in the best possible way,' one commenter wrote.
Another simply said: 'something about Sandra bullock just heals me'.
Others called her 'phenomenal', 'charismatic', and 'the real, real deal', while one fan said they hoped Bullock knew how admired she is around the world.
Perhaps the most convincing argument came from a viewer who said they had once been in the same room as Bullock and found that she 'radiate[d] as a true movie star', alongside kindness and joy.
So much for not being a red carpet gal.
The Bullock-Kidman Magic Reloaded
The pair first played sisters Sally and Gillian Owens in Practical Magic in 1998, and their off-screen friendship has only grown stronger since.
Now, they are back together for Practical Magic 2, returning both as stars and executive producers.
Sandra Bullock may joke that Nicole Kidman is the glamorous one, but fans seem unwilling to let her duck her own movie-star status quite so easily.
After all, one does not spend decades being beloved, admired, and hailed as a real-life Miss Congeniality only to suddenly resign from the red carpet.
The internet has denied the request. Someone, please get Sandra Bullock a mirror, because in case she doesn't know, she is practically magical.
