Sydney Sweeney's recent move to Creative Artists Agency has been linked to an alleged conversation in which Hollywood executive Ari Emanuel reportedly advised her to end her relationship with Scooter Braun to strengthen her career.
Page Six reported the claim, but Emanuel's representative denied both the meeting and the alleged advice.
Alleged Career Advice
Multiple sources cited by Page Six allege Emanuel met with Sweeney in January, after her agent Jennifer Millar left Paradigm Talent Agency.
Sources claim the conversation became uncomfortable when Emanuel suggested Sweeney's career would benefit from ending her relationship with Braun.
A source stated that Emanuel believed Sweeney should separate from Braun to be taken more seriously as an actress and businesswoman.
Emanuel's representative denied the allegation, stating he did not meet Sweeney in January or advise her to end her relationship with Braun.
Neither Sweeney nor Braun has publicly confirmed the alleged conversation.
Braun's CAA Connection
The conversation occurred months before Sweeney signed with CAA, adding complexity to her agency transition.
Sweeney became a free agent after Millar left Paradigm for Brillstein Entertainment Partners. During her search for new representation, Braun reportedly connected her with CAA principal Kevin Huvane.
Puck, a digital media outlet covering Hollywood and entertainment, reported this month that Braun arranged a dinner between Sweeney and CAA's Kevin Huvane, which led to her signing with the agency.
Braun declined to comment. Another source, however, disputed that he arranged the CAA meeting without first involving Sweeney's former agent.
A source close to Sweeney stated that her production team had already met with CAA and liked the agency, while CAA's Motion Picture Group head, Joel Lubin, had reportedly pursued her for over a year.
Sweeney and Braun Remain Together
Despite the alleged advice, there is no evidence that Sweeney has ended her relationship with Braun.
The couple continue to appear close in public. They were photographed together in Venice earlier this month, including on a gondola, and attended events during the Venice Film Festival.
Braun further highlighted their relationship on Sweeney's 29th birthday, 12 September, by sharing a video of them dancing and kissing.

He described their relationship as a 'true partnership' and called Sweeney 'the exception to every rule'.
Page Six reported that Braun is considering proposing to Sweeney, citing a source who said he views her as the 'modern Marilyn Monroe'.
Sweeney has also grown closer to Braun's family, recently spending time with his three children during their relationship.
Sweeney's Career Continues
Sweeney's signing with CAA reflects the continued growth of her career beyond acting.
Her upcoming projects include The Housemaid's Secret, Netflix's live-action Gundam, Scandalous!, and The Custom of the Country.
She has also launched the lingerie brand Syrn and the production company Honey Trap. Additionally, she holds an equity stake in the sports prediction market Novig, which used her nude image in a campaign that drew criticism from the public and some athletes.
