Zara Larsson's latest beauty looks belong somewhere between a concert stage, the Louvre museum, and a particularly glamorous biology textbook.
Behind the wonderfully weird creations is London-based makeup artist Sophia Sinot, whose experimental work has turned faces into everything from futuristic fantasies to hyper-feminine works of art.
For Larsson, however, Sinot appears to have gone exploring in the animal kingdom. One look dives beneath the sea, while another goes decidedly wild with leopard inspiration.
The result is beauty with claws, crystals, and apparently a working knowledge of marine biology.
Under the Sea, but Make It Y2K
For one of Larsson's most intricate looks, Sinot transformed the Swedish pop star's eyes into what could reasonably be described as an extremely glamorous tide pool.
A shimmering wash of yellow-green and champagne stretches across the lids, framed by dramatically elongated black liner. Around it sits a constellation of rhinestones, metallic embellishments and colourful three-dimensional details in turquoise, red, silver and orange.
The embellishments trail beyond Zara Larsson's eyes rather than staying neatly confined to the lids, making the makeup look almost alive.
Look closely, and the marine references start swimming into view. Some of the turquoise pieces resemble tiny shells or underwater organisms, while red accents introduce a distinctly crustacean vibe. Pearlescent touches around the inner corners add another aquatic layer, almost resembling bubbles caught beneath sunlight.
It is marine biology through the lens of Y2K pop glamour. Even Sebastian from The Little Mermaid would have to respect the craftsmanship.
Flatworm, Full Glam
Next stop on Sinot's beauty reef: Pseudoceros dimidiatus, a marine flatworm with colours that look as fantastic on the lids as they do underwater.
Taking cues from its graphic black markings, pale green body and golden-orange border, Sinot swept Larsson's lids in mint before drawing feathered black lines across the eyes and framing the outer edges in yellow. The resemblance is surprisingly precise, yet the finished makeup serves less as a biology lesson and more as psychedelic butterfly wings.
Paired with flushed cheeks and pearlescent pink lips, this is marine camouflage turned pop-star glam. Apparently, even flatworms have beauty references worth bookmarking.
Something Fishy Never Looked This Fabulous
Apparently, Sinot's underwater expedition was nowhere near finished.
For another ocean-inspired look, Larsson's face borrowed the electric palette of a tropical fish, translating its ribbons of hot pink, violet, icy blue and neon yellow into full technicolour glam. Pink floods the lids and cheeks before melting into blue at the inner corners, while flashes of purple and acid yellow sharpen the eyes.
Even the tiny yellow stars and scattered specks across her cheeks mimic the creature's almost impossibly bright colouring, as though a tropical reef collided with a Y2K sticker book somewhere between the ocean and the makeup chair.
The glossy mauve lips keep things unmistakably glamorous, but those eyes are swimming in another direction entirely. Without the quirky fish reference, Larsson's look could easily be interpreted as a starry galaxy. Whether fish or planet, it's facial art at its finest.
'Shrimply' Irresistible
For Lollapalooza 2026, Sinot went back beneath the waves with vivid pink swept across Larsson's eyes and dotted with deeper red markings, alongside fiery orange through the centre.
The placement and colour story borrow from shrimp-inspired marine life, turning crustacean anatomy into unexpectedly fabulous festival glam. Crystals scattered around the eyes add the requisite pop-star sparkle.
Who knew shrimp could have this much star power?
Leopard Print Earns Its Spots
After diving beneath the sea, Sinot fished Larsson's glam back onto dry land, and apparently straight into big-cat territory.
For what the makeup artist called potentially her 'fav look we've ever done', tiny hand-drawn leopard spots prowl across Larsson's lids and all the way towards her temples. Rather than reaching for predictable browns and golds, Sinot layered the print over cool silver shadow, smoked out the lashes, then ran striking cobalt liner beneath the eyes.
The combination is gloriously excessive. Leopard print above, electrifying blue below, pink flushed across the cheeks, and glossy nude lips holding down the fort. Larsson's hair appears caught mid-glam in rollers, somehow making the whole thing feel even more fabulous.
Fans were just as excited over the result. 'OH IM OBSESSEDDDDDDD,' one wrote, while another offered the only appropriate response: 'PURRRRRRRR'.
Perhaps the best review, however, thanked Sinot for 'freeing us from the clean girl epidemic'.

You've Cat to Be Kitten Me
Finally, the small cat entered the chat.
Sinot washed Larsson's eyes in aquatic turquoise before arranging rows of silver crystals across her cheeks like a fabulous set of whiskers. Tiny gems dotted across the lids continue the feline fantasy, while rainbow-encrusted hoops add another dose of technicolour.
After flatworms, tropical fish, crustaceans, and leopards, perhaps the humble house cat was inevitable. The clean-girl era had a good run. But now, the cat's out of the makeup bag, and it's making sure every colour on your makeup palette gets used.
