Apple Martin has moved from sitting in the front row at fashion shows to walking in one herself, making her runway debut for Chloé at Paris Fashion Week.
The 22-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin walked in Chloé's spring/summer 2027 show on Thursday, 1 October at the Paris Observatory.
Martin wore a long white dress featuring eyelet detailing, balloon sleeves, ruffles, a plunging neckline and an exaggerated collar. She completed the look with towering wooden platform shoes, while her long blonde hair was worn loose.
The appearance marked Martin's first runway show, but her association with Chloé began months earlier.
From Chloé Campaign Face to Runway Model
Martin became a face of Chloé in May when she appeared in the French fashion house's Chloé à la Plage campaign.
Photographed by David Sims, the summer 2026 campaign showed Martin modelling pieces from Chloé's summer 2026 collection, designed under creative director Chemena Kamali. Her looks included floral dresses, swimwear, eyelet separates and the house's Banana bags.
One campaign image showed Martin posing in front of a large seashell in a reference to Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.
The runway dress echoed some of the romantic details seen in the campaign, including eyelet-style cutwork and ruffles.
Martin's runway appearance followed several earlier steps into fashion.
She previously sat in the front row at Chanel's haute couture show in Paris and appeared alongside Paltrow in a GapStudio campaign. She has also modelled for British fashion label Self-Portrait and appeared in a solo Vogue editorial.
In 2024, Martin attended Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris wearing a custom Valentino gown designed by Alessandro Michele.
Chloé Looks to Its Archives for Spring 2027
Martin joined Chloé's runway as Kamali presented a collection titled 'Obsession', which drew on different periods of the fashion house's history.
The spring/summer 2027 collection combined broderie anglaise, lace, sheer organza, puffed sleeves and tiered ruffles with more substantial outerwear and tailoring.
Kamali also incorporated lingerie-inspired pieces into the collection, including designs she called 'romantic harnesses'.
'I wanted something deeply personal—to return to things I love, the emotions they trigger in me', Kamali said.
The collection also looked further into Chloé's archives. Kamali revisited the house's 1972 'Noël' tuxedo, bringing menswear-inspired tailoring into a collection otherwise filled with lace, embroidery and flowing fabrics.
Bright fishermen's coats and capes appeared alongside the more delicate pieces, while wide-brimmed hats and transparent vinyl added further layers to the collection.
A Growing Fashion Résumé
Martin's Chloé debut comes as she continues to build her own fashion portfolio.
Her mother, Paltrow, has maintained a decades-long relationship with fashion alongside her film career and lifestyle company Goop. Her father, Chris Martin, has fronted Coldplay since the band's formation in 1996.
Martin has also explored music. She is credited as a songwriter and vocalist on Coldplay's 'feelslikeimfallinginlove' and performed publicly with a student band in Nashville in 2025 while her father watched from the audience.
Martin graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2026 and appeared in Chloé's summer campaign later that year.
Her runway debut came months after she modelled Chloé's summer collection, extending her association with the house from campaign work to the catwalk.
