Barbara Palvin wasn't about to let one sweet moment with Dylan Sprouse turn into a surprise baby announcement. Less than two months after welcoming their daughter Sylvie, her husband made the hilariously risky decision of resting his hand on her belly while they posed for a photo.

While posing together at their Sprouse House Halloween party, Dylan Sprouse wrapped an arm around Barbara Palvin and rested his other hand over her stomach. The model immediately noticed the placement and hilariously called him out.

'They're gonna think it's another one!' Palvin joked in a video shared by People, prompting her husband to move his hand away from her belly and announce: 'force of habit, guys.'

The couple welcomed daughter Sylvie in September, making this their first Halloween as a family of 3. One strategically adorable hand placement was quite close to sparking questions on whether Sylvie would soon be a big sister.

Barbara Palvin Wasn't Risking a Pregnancy Rumour

Sprouse took the hand eviction in stride, laughing alongside his wife before they continued posing for cameras. 'I'm not pregnant,' Palvin playfully told the press.

The timing made Palvin's reaction even funnier. The model only recently returned to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runway, walking the show roughly 6 weeks after giving birth. Her postpartum return launched plenty of conversation online, something Palvin herself addressed while attending the Halloween bash.

However, for Halloween, the new parents had something much less serious to worry about: turning themselves into residents of Halloween Town. Palvin camouflaged beneath green body paint and a dramatic headpiece to become the doll version of Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Her costume reimagined the film's burlap villain with a fitted green corset, matching skirt, detached flared sleeves, and creepy-crawly details.

Sprouse completed the pairing as Jack Skellington, wearing the Pumpkin King's signature black pinstripes and bat bow tie. No need to look for Sally this time, though, because the Jack Skellington of this universe is married to Oogie Boogie, apparently.

The Sprouses Know Their Couples Costumes

The couple hosted the first official Sprouse House Halloween party at Fab Factory Studios in North Hollywood on 31 October, giving their elaborate costumes a fittingly spooky place to make their debut.

This also wasn't their first trip into character together. In 2024, Palvin and Sprouse went gothic-romantic as Christine Daaé and the Phantom from The Phantom of the Opera.

They've been playing the couples-costume game for years. Back in 2019, the pair transformed into San and Prince Ashitaka from Princess Mononoke. Their costume archive has even ventured into Dragon Ball Z and Naruto, with Sprouse previously dressing as Future Trunks alongside Palvin's Gaara.

Halloween 2026 came with one major addition to the Sprouse household, though. This time, they were celebrating as Mum and Dad. Sylvie may still be far too young to appreciate just how committed her parents are to Halloween, but with that costume history waiting for her, family dress-up could get very interesting once she is old enough to join in. Despite still being too little to walk the red carpet with her famous parents, Palvin reportedly shared that their daughter was clad in a fairy costume as a nod to the meaning of her name.

For now, her parents have already given her a Pumpkin King, an Oogie Boogie, and one near-sibling starter for her first Halloween. Despite the endearing hand placement on his wife's belly, for now, there's just one baby in the Sprouse House.
