Crystal Hefner accuses Jon Lovitz of sexism after he dismisses her Playboy Mansion ‘perv’ claims @crystalmharris/Instagram

Crystal Hefner has hit back at Jon Lovitz after the comedian joked that being called the Playboy Mansion's 'No. 1 customer' was a compliment, following her allegations about his frequent presence at parties there. The widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said the Saturday Night Live alum was 'part of the problem', accusing some of the men who visited the mansion of contributing to a culture of sexism and misogyny.

Speaking to Page Six, Crystal said some men's behaviour at the mansion reflected a wider culture that she believes has often discounted women's experiences. She said her criticism extended beyond Lovitz and was aimed at the culture and power structures she believes enabled sexism to go unchallenged.

Crystal Hefner Says Jon Lovitz Is 'Part of the Problem'

Crystal, 40, made the comments in an interview with Page Six, published on Wednesday, 28 October, as the public dispute over her allegations continued. She argued that the behaviour of some men who frequented the mansion reflected wider attitudes that allowed women's experiences to be dismissed.

Crystal Hefner has slammed Jon Lovitz as ‘part of the problem’ after the comedian mocked her description of him as a Playboy Mansion ‘perv’ and joked that being called its ‘No. 1 customer’ was a compliment.

'I think Jon Lovitz is part of the problem,' she said, explaining that many men who visited the property were 'very sexist and misogynistic'. Crystal added that she wanted to challenge the power structures that allowed such attitudes to go unquestioned.

Crystal also criticised Lovitz over earlier comments questioning whether she regretted the house and money Hugh had provided. She argued that receiving gifts or financial support should not prevent women from speaking openly about their experiences.

'That's really sad that, just because someone buys you something, it guarantees silence,' Crystal said. She described Lovitz's thinking as 'very outdated' and said she wanted to help dismantle 'toxic masculinity and patriarchy'.

Lovitz, 69, had responded to Crystal's description of him as one of Hollywood's biggest 'pervs' and the Playboy Mansion's 'No. 1 customer' by making light of the label. In a video obtained by Page Six, the comedian appeared to take the description as praise rather than criticism.

'Any time someone says I'm No. 1, it's a compliment,' Lovitz said. He also defended Hugh, adding, 'Hugh Hefner was one of the nicest, most generous people I've ever met and all of his friends know it.'

Crystal Hefner Accused Jon Lovitz of Being a 'Lurker'

Crystal's original allegations came during an appearance on Lisa Guerrero Unleashed, where she recalled seeing Lovitz at parties at the mansion. She alleged that he frequently attended gatherings and appeared particularly interested in the women arriving.

'He would be up there all the time,' she said, describing how his eyes would go 'front to back' as he looked at women entering a party. Crystal also called him a 'lurker' and alleged that his dog urinated around the property.

She said she remembered Lovitz being present at parties and included him among the men she considered particularly inappropriate. Lovitz joked about the 'No. 1' label and praised Hugh, but did not provide a detailed response to Crystal's specific allegations.

Crystal Hefner Continues to Speak Out About Playboy Mansion

The dispute comes as Crystal continues to discuss her marriage to Hugh and the environment surrounding the Playboy Mansion. She married the magazine founder in 2012, and they remained married until his death in 2017, aged 91.

Crystal Hefner has spoken out about her experiences at the Playboy Mansion and the alleged culture of sexism and misogyny she says she witnessed during her marriage to Hugh Hefner

In July, Lovitz criticised Crystal after she shared a social media video discussing her regrets about aspects of her life with Hugh. He questioned whether she regretted the house and money Hugh had provided, as well as the financial benefits she received after selling the property.

Crystal has since argued that material support should not prevent women from speaking honestly about difficult experiences. She has also called attention to the power dynamics surrounding Hugh's circle and the influence wealth can have on whose accounts are taken seriously.
