Gwyneth Paltrow has addressed one of the questions surrounding her polished-looking cooking videos: whether she wears makeup or uses a filter while filming them.
The Goop founder was asked about her seemingly effortless appearance during a live conversation with music producer Benny Blanco for The Goop Podcast on Tuesday, 15 September 2026. Blanco joked about Paltrow making food late at night while looking remarkably put together, before asking whether she gets made up or uses a filter for the videos.
Paltrow's answer was short and emphatic.
'No. Are you kidding?' she replied.
The exchange offered a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes curiosity surrounding Paltrow's popular kitchen videos, which have become a recognisable part of her social media presence.
Benny Blanco Asks the Question
During the conversation, Blanco turned the discussion towards Paltrow's late-night eating habits. The 38-year-old music producer joked that rather than ordering food in the early hours, Paltrow would probably go downstairs, make a frittata and film one of her cooking videos.
Blanco then pointed out how good she appears in the clips. He asked whether she was 'getting made up' before filming or whether she had 'some sort of filter' in the videos. The question prompted laughter from the audience before Paltrow dismissed the suggestion.
