Hailey Bieber is facing criticism after sharing her views on ageing, with some social media users questioning whether her latest comments match her past interest in anti-ageing treatments. The Rhode founder recently explained why she dislikes the term 'anti-ageing', saying people should focus on supporting their skin instead of fighting the natural ageing process.

During a recent interview from Women's Wear Daily published on 30 October 2026, Hailey explained why she does not like the term 'anti-ageing' when discussing skincare. Instead, the 29-year-old prefers the idea of 'smart ageing', which focuses on caring for the skin as people get older.

However, her comments have brought attention back to a 2022 television appearance in which she made a bold statement about NAD+, a treatment linked to the growing interest in beauty and longevity. One social media user has now accused the model of changing her message after previously suggesting the treatment would keep her from ageing.

Hailey Rejects Anti-Ageing

'I hate saying anti ageing because I'm like, we're all aging, so let's not be anti about it,' she said. 'Let's just support ourselves and support our skin.' Her comments reflect a different way of talking about skincare, where the focus is on keeping skin healthy rather than treating ageing as something that must be stopped.

Hailey also spoke about her personal skincare habits and the treatments she enjoys. She revealed that she has tried procedures such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and microneedling, while also stressing the value of having a good daily skincare routine.

She discussed her skincare company Rhode as well, sharing some of her higher hopes for the brand. 'I really want Rhode to be completely global. I want it to be everywhere,' she said. 'In five years from now, I definitely want to see Rhode thriving in a global way.'

Her Past NAD+ Comments

Her latest remarks have brought back attention to an appearance with Kendall Jenner on The Kardashians in 2022. During the episode, the two friends were shown receiving NAD+ intravenous (IV) drips, a treatment that delivers the substance directly into the bloodstream.

While discussing the treatment, Hailey made a comment that quickly became linked to her interest in wellness and staying young. 'I'm gonna NAD for the rest of my life and I'm never gonna age,' she told Kendall during the scene.

NAD+, short for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a substance naturally found in the body's cells and plays a role in how they produce energy. Its levels and related processes have become a major topic in longevity research, although scientists have yet to prove that NAD+ treatments can stop ageing or help people live longer.

Social Media Questions Her Views

Following Hailey's latest interview, a post from the parody account @espressoriana questioned the difference between her current views and her earlier comments. The account accused the model of acting as though she had only recently embraced ageing, despite her previous interest in treatments associated with longevity.

The post read: 'Hailey Bieber was saying two years ago, "I'm gonna take NAD for the rest of my life and never gonna age," and now she's bragging about not being anti-aging, as if she hasn't been trying to slow down the aging process herself.' It also claimed that people were not buying what it described as her 'performative act'.

Regardless of how online users react, Bieber seems to be on her way to pushing herself on the forefront of skin care and beauty.
