Lisa showcases the wedge heel revival in Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week @lalalalisa_m/ Instagram

Lisa is giving one of fashion's most divisive shoe trends a glamorous new lease of life. The BLACKPINK star embraced the wedge heel revival in a pair of sculptural Louis Vuitton pumps worth $1,310 (£925 in the UK) as she attended the French fashion house's Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

Her pointed-toe Luna Wedge Pumps put a futuristic spin on the traditionally chunky silhouette, with a dramatic curved heel that made the controversial style look unexpectedly sleek. Rather than leaning into the bulk often associated with wedge shoes, Lisa's pair offered a more polished take on the revival.

The Pumps Put a Modern Spin on a Retro Favourite

The shoes, which Louis Vuitton describes as an 'avant-garde style', are crafted from goat leather and feature a memory-foam insole. The 10.5cm heel is finished with a small silver-toned LV initials stud, adding a subtle signature detail to the otherwise striking design.

Lisa styled the statement footwear with a variation on a Louis Vuitton Cruise 2027 look, featuring a voluminous purple ruffled neckline and matching ruffle detailing around the waist.

She gave the ensemble a sharper edge by pairing the top with a black leather miniskirt, contrasting the romantic purple detailing with the skirt's tougher finish.

The outfit also allowed her unusual footwear to take centre stage, with the pointed pumps creating an elongated line through her legs while the sculptural wedges added height without relying on a traditional stiletto.

And while wedges may still divide fashion fans, Lisa's latest appearance suggests the once-dated silhouette is continuing its unlikely comeback. The wedge has been steadily creeping back into the fashion conversation after years of being overshadowed by stilettos, ballet flats and minimalist trainers.

Wedges Are Having Their Fashion Comeback Moment

Rather than returning in its most recognisable early-2000s form, however, the latest incarnation is considerably more polished.

Designers have been experimenting with slimmer shapes, pointed toes and architectural heels, turning the wedge into something that can work with tailored and evening looks as easily as casual outfits. Vogue declared earlier this year that wedges were 'firmly back', highlighting the growing popularity of the silhouette beyond traditional espadrilles and summer sandals.

Other celebrities have also helped fuel the revival. Kendall Jenner recently stepped out in a low black wedge from The Row, while Dakota Johnson wore leather wedge sandals during New York Fashion Week.

Lisa's Louis Vuitton pumps take the trend one step further, replacing the relaxed associations of a traditional wedge with the drama of a high-fashion pump.

Louis Vuitton's Futuristic Vision Makes a Case for the Wedge

The timing also feels particularly fitting given the futuristic direction of Louis Vuitton's latest collection. The Spring/Summer 2027 show at the Louvre brought together an eclectic front row, with Zendaya, Ana de Armas, Chloë Sevigny and Jennifer Connelly among the stars.

Several guests put their own spin on the house's footwear. Zendaya opted for a white stiletto pump, while Ana de Armas wore a black knee-high block-heel boot. Sevigny also wore Louis Vuitton's Luna pump from the Fall 2026 collection, while Connelly chose futuristic hybrid shoes from the Cruise 2027 collection.

Lisa's choice, however, offered one of the clearest demonstrations of how dramatically the wedge has evolved. Long associated with cork platforms and casual summer dressing, the silhouette is now being recast in luxurious leather with sharp, sculptural lines.

If Lisa's latest Paris Fashion Week appearance is anything to go by, the wedge may no longer be a shoe fashion lovers are trying to leave in the past. It could be time to give it another chance.
