The 24-year-old singer sent fans into a frenzy after revealing on The Daebak Show, Eric Nam's interview series, that she ran two Taylor Swift fan accounts as a child and even wrote fanfiction.
The episode went live on Wednesday, 28 October, and within hours fans had dug up what appears to be one of the accounts, along with a story on the writing platform Wattpad titled "Just Friends – A Sweeran Fanfiction". One fan page's post about the discovery has since racked up more than 700,000 views.
The 11-chapter story, named after the fan nickname for Swift and Ed Sheeran, imagines the two singers being set up on a date by their mutual friend Selena Gomez. Lily appeared flustered on the fan platform Bubble once it resurfaced.
Fans believe the account's activity slowed around March 2014. The resurfaced fanfiction also prompted amusement online, with the discovery offering a glimpse into Lily's teenage Swiftie years, when she wrote stories about her favourite stars.
If that timeline is right, Lily would have been just 11 when the account went quiet, which goes some way to explaining both her embarrassment and the affection with which fans have greeted the find.
Lily's Long Love Affair With Taylor Swift
Few K-pop idols wear their fandom quite as proudly as Lily. Born Lily Jin Park Morrow in Marysville, Victoria, she has loved Swift since the Red era and credits her with inspiring her to become a singer, and she has covered several of the American star's songs during livestreams over the years, including "Cruel Summer" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together".
The fan account itself is not entirely news. In 2022, Lily told fans that she had once run a Swift account very seriously and had built up at least 1,000 followers. She said at the time that she deleted it before joining JYP Entertainment, so nobody would be able to find it. Fans, it seems, have now proved her wrong.

The story's premise also fits the era. Fiction pairing the two singers was a familiar sight on fan sites in the early 2010s, when the two singers were close friends and frequent collaborators. Sheeran supported Swift on her Red Tour in 2013, and the pair duetted on "Everything Has Changed" from her 2012 album Red, before reuniting years later on "End Game" and "Run (Taylor's Version)".
Her devotion has not gone unnoticed by Swift herself. In October 2025, Swift liked a video of Lily and bandmate Bae dancing to "The Fate of Ophelia", the lead single from Swift's 3 October 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, leaving the NMIXX member visibly overjoyed.
From Fan Account to K-pop Stage
Lily's journey from Swiftie to idol began in November 2014, when she auditioned for the South Korean talent show K-pop Star 4, finishing fourth. She signed an exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment in May 2015 and debuted with NMIXX on 22 February 2022 with the single album Ad Mare and its lead track "O.O", introducing the group's genre-blending "mixx pop" sound.
The six-member group is completed by Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo and Kyujin. Lily is credited as a lyricist on "Crescendo", the opening track of their fifth extended play, Heavy Serenade, released on 11 May, and has often spoken about leaving literary references in her songwriting. NMIXX followed it with their sixth EP, Strange Muse, on 19 October, led by "Birthday Wish". Lily also co-wrote the lyrics for "Sing to the Moon", her unit track with Haewon, and was promoting the record when she sat down with Nam.

Fans have largely responded to the revelation with affection rather than mockery, with many pointing out that plenty of today's stars started out as fans themselves. For Lily, the unearthed account is simply proof that her love for Swift goes back further than most people realised.
