Prada’s $1,320 Wish Pouch gains celebrity attention Prada/Official Website

Prada's Wish Silk Duchesse Pouch has become one of the most sought-after fashion accessories of 2026, with searches for the luxury bag rising by 498% in the third quarter of the year. The $1,320 (£990) design has been carried by celebrities including Hunter Schafer, Charli D'Amelio, Carey Mulligan, Alexa Chung and Elsa Hosk.

The pouch topped the Lyst Index's hottest products ranking for the third quarter of 2026, reflecting a sharp increase in interest in the Italian fashion house's accessories. Its rise also coincided with a strong quarter for Prada, which reclaimed the top position in Lyst's ranking of the world's hottest fashion brands.

Prada's Wish Pouch Sees Searches Rise 498%

The Prada Wish Silk Duchesse Pouch ranked first among Lyst's hottest products for July to September 2026. According to the platform's quarterly index, searches for the bag rose by 498% during the period.

The increase helped place the accessory ahead of other popular fashion items, including COS' Trullo Flap Bag and the Celine x Reebok Freestyle Lo trainers. Lyst's index draws on shopping behaviour from its platform, which serves around 160 million shoppers annually, alongside signals such as social media mentions, product searches, page views, interactions and sales. Its rankings are intended to reflect changes in consumer interest and demand rather than sales figures alone.

The pouch's performance also came as Prada returned to the top of the brand rankings. Demand for Prada on Lyst increased by 55% in the third quarter compared with the previous quarter, with attention surrounding its fashion shows contributing to the brand's visibility.

How Hunter Schafer and Charli D'Amelio Wore the Bag

Several high-profile names have helped bring the Prada pouch into the spotlight through their public appearances. Charli D'Amelio was among the early adopters, carrying the bag in February 2026. At Prada's Autumn/Winter 2026 show, the influencer chose the grey Hematite version, styling it with a smoky-toned barn jacket.

Actor Carey Mulligan also carried the pouch at the show, choosing the Ivy Green shade to complement her black-and-white outfit. Hunter Schafer was photographed with the design at a Met Gala after-party in May. She later carried the same lemon-yellow Topaz version at a private Prada event in June, pairing it with yellow boots from the fashion house's autumn/winter 2026 collection.

The bag has continued to appear at fashion events and in celebrity styling. At Prada's Spring/Summer 2027 show on 22 September, Alexa Chung carried the pouch in Sky Blue, pairing it with a periwinkle pencil skirt and a red cardigan.

Supermodel Elsa Hosk also wore the pale blue version in October, matching the accessory with a blue pyjama set from her holiday collection with sleepwear brand Eberjey. Hosk had previously shared an image of herself carrying the bag in a moss-green shade on Instagram Stories.

What Makes the Prada Pouch Different?

The Wish Silk Duchesse Pouch has a soft, glossy finish and a drawstring-style silhouette. It debuted on Prada's Spring/Summer 2026 runway in several colours, including black, bronze, grey, bubblegum pink and pastel purple.

Rather than featuring the structured shape associated with many traditional luxury handbags, the pouch has a relaxed form that can be carried in the hand like a clutch. Its slim straps and Prada tag provide the main identifying details.

The design has also been described as a more luxurious take on the dust bags supplied with shoes and other fashion items. That resemblance has contributed to its informal appeal, setting it apart from more conventional structured handbags.

The pouch's relatively simple construction contrasts with its $1,320 price tag. At that price, it sits firmly within the luxury accessories market, where the brand, materials and design identity are important parts of the product's positioning.

Prada's Pouch Leads the Lyst Index

The Wish Silk Duchesse Pouch was the top-ranked product in Lyst's third-quarter 2026 index, while Prada rose five places to reclaim the number one position among fashion brands. The rest of the top three products included COS' Trullo Flap Bag in second place and the Celine x Reebok Freestyle Lo trainers in third. Vans' Premium Authentic trainers and Dries Van Noten's Long Wrap Scarf-Skirt completed the top five. The results reflect a varied selection of products attracting attention during the quarter, from luxury accessories to everyday footwear and statement clothing.
