Sophie Cunningham has made her feelings about joining OnlyFans abundantly clear, and the Indiana Fever star had a rather unusual way of explaining why she cannot see herself on the subscription platform. During an appearance on comedian Theo Von's podcast, the WNBA guard was asked whether she had considered creating an account on the platform, but her response suggested she had little interest in doing that.
Cunningham did more than simply dismiss the idea, however. She also questioned why anyone would use a platform widely associated with adult entertainment to share family-friendly material, comparing the concept to McDonald's suddenly deciding to serve enchiladas.
The basketball star's comments came as Von and his team discussed several former and current WNBA players who have explored opportunities on OnlyFans. While some have used the platform for adult content, others have focused on fitness and lifestyle material.
Sophie Cunningham Says OnlyFans Is 'Not up My Alley'
When Von asked whether she had ever considered joining OnlyFans, Cunningham did not appear to need much time to think about her answer. She initially responded, 'I don't think so. I don't know,' before making her position considerably clearer.
'No. I'm like, yeah. Not up my alley. I keep my pride to myself,' she said.

The conversation then turned to the basketball players who have ventured onto the subscription platform. Von and his team mentioned former WNBA star Liz Cambage and Los Angeles Sparks guard Erica Wheeler, both of whom have established a presence there.
Cambage reportedly joined OnlyFans in November 2021 after building an impressive basketball career that included four WNBA All-Star selections and two All-WNBA honours. The Australian centre last played in the league in 2022 before continuing her professional basketball career overseas.

Wheeler, meanwhile, joined the platform in January 2026 while playing for the Seattle Storm. She has taken a notably different approach, using her account to share workout content, family moments and behind-the-scenes glimpses of her basketball career rather than focusing on adult entertainment. She later joined the Los Angeles Sparks.
McDonald's Serving Enchiladas Comparison
Cunningham appeared particularly puzzled by the idea of using OnlyFans to share training advice, family updates and other content that has little to do with the platform's adult-entertainment reputation.
She then reached for a fast-food comparison to explain her confusion, suggesting that the concept was as unexpected as ordering Mexican food at the famous burger chain.
'I was going to say, I've never heard of it, training, family. You know, this doesn't make sense to me because that's like McDonald's trying to serve enchiladas,' Cunningham explained. She continued: 'You get what I'm saying? Like, no one, I promise you, no one is going or thinking of that and thinking, oh, family, health content.'
Her analogy made her point clear: Cunningham believes people associate OnlyFans with a particular type of content, making its use for more conventional lifestyle material difficult for her to reconcile. However, her comments concerned the platform's identity and the expectations surrounding it, rather than suggesting Wheeler was producing adult content.
Sophie Cunningham's Interests Beyond Basketball
Cunningham's growing public profile has made her one of the more recognisable personalities in women's basketball. Alongside her performances on the court, the guard has attracted attention for her outspoken personality and social media presence, opening up opportunities to explore interests beyond the WNBA.
She has also been spotted at major motorsports events during the off-season. Cunningham recently attended the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, where she wore a western-inspired outfit and waved the ceremonial chequered flag as Kimi Antonelli crossed the finish line.
The basketball star is also preparing to compete in Project B, the new women's basketball competition scheduled to begin in January 2027. She is currently an unrestricted free agent following the end of her contract with Indiana.
Nevertheless, her latest comments suggest that launching an OnlyFans account is unlikely to be among her plans. For Cunningham, the platform simply does not fit what she wants to do. And judging by her McDonald's comparison, she is not about to change her mind anytime soon.
