Jacob Elordi's reported relationship with Kendall Jenner has become the subject of a new Hollywood gossip theory suggesting the actor could enjoy the Kardashian-Jenner family's connections to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. A TikTok video shared by @celebriteablinds on 30 October has prompted speculation that Jenner's relationship with Elordi could help him gain access to influential industry figures and improve his chances of playing James Bond.
The theory centres on Kris Jenner's alleged friendship with Lauren Sánchez Bezos, Jeff Bezos's wife. Because Amazon MGM Studios now has creative control of the James Bond franchise, some online commentators have speculated that the Kardashian-Jenner family's connections could provide Elordi with a route to the coveted 007 role.
The discussion comes as the latest Bond casting reports claimed that Elordi was not in contention for the role anymore. According to TheWrap, the actor is no longer in the running and is not among those expected to take part in the final screen tests.
Kendall and the James Bond Speculation
Elordi and Jenner have been romantically linked since spring 2026, following sightings of the pair at public events and during trips together. Their reported relationship attracted further attention after they were photographed at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on 17 October, although they walked the red carpet separately before reportedly spending time together inside the event.
Neither has publicly confirmed the relationship, but their appearances together have generated considerable entertainment coverage.
The suggestion that their relationship could have professional implications appeared in an earlier report published by Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice newsletter on 3 September. Citing unnamed entertainment industry sources, Shuter claimed that Kris Jenner was close to Sánchez Bezos and understood the potential value of that connection for Elordi's Bond ambitions.
The report suggested that Kris could use her social connections to ease introductions, describing her influence through dinners, relationships and industry contacts. It also quoted an unnamed source arguing that Elordi's association with the Kardashian-Jenner family could actually undermine his suitability for the role because Bond's image traditionally relies on mystery and sophistication.
What Jeff Bezos has to do with James Bond
The connection being discussed online stems from Amazon MGM Studios' involvement in the Bond franchise. In February 2025, Amazon MGM announced a new joint venture with longtime Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, under which Amazon MGM gained creative control of the franchise while the parties remained co-owners of the intellectual property.
The studio subsequently announced that Amy Pascal and David Heyman would produce the next Bond film, with Denis Villeneuve directing and Tanya Lapointe serving as executive producer. Steven Knight has been appointed to write the screenplay.
Bezos is Amazon's founder and executive chair, but the studio's public announcements identify the film's creative leadership and production team separately.
Did Elordi Miss Out on Bond Screen Tests?
The timing of the latest speculation is particularly notable because Bond casting reports have recently narrowed the field.
On 22 October, TheWrap reported that Jack Lowden, Callum Turner, and Josh O'Connor were among the actors offered screen tests for the role, alongside an unidentified fourth candidate. The publication explicitly reported that Elordi was no longer in the mix and would not be testing.
The Independent also reported on 23 October that Elordi and Jack O'Connell were not among the actors expected to take part in the final auditions. The casting process is being handled by the film's creative team, with Amazon MGM Studios yet to announce Daniel Craig's successor.
Elordi had previously emerged as a popular fan choice for the role, particularly following his performances in Saltburn, Priscilla, and Frankenstein. His height, screen presence and growing profile made him a frequent name in speculative casting discussions.
