Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about her future cosmetic plans, her beauty routine and why she wants to look polished even when motherhood leaves her feeling anything but organised. The Oscar-winning actress said she hopes to get a facelift one day and wants to feel confident and look put-together during the everyday realities of motherhood.
Lawrence made the candid admission in an interview published on Tuesday, 27 October, while discussing beauty, ageing and her new haircare brand, mes°. 'I want to be a sexy mom,' she explained. 'At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her shit together even when I've just woken up and don't have my shit together.'
The 36-year-old actress's remarks offer a refreshingly frank glimpse into her beauty ambitions, as she acknowledges that she wants to maintain her appearance without pretending to have every aspect of her life under control. While Lawrence said she wants a facelift in the future, she did not announce an immediate surgery date.
Jennifer Lawrence Opens Up About Her Facelift Plans
Lawrence's comments have attracted attention because she is unusually candid about cosmetic procedures, discussing both treatments she currently receives and those she is considering.
In The Cut interview, her desire for a future facelift was presented alongside her broader approach to beauty: looking good with minimal effort rather than chasing perfection. Her comments also reflect the pressures women can feel to appear effortlessly polished while managing family life and professional responsibilities.
Lawrence shares two children with her husband, Cooke Maroney. Her school drop-off remark captures the tension between wanting to look her best and the reality of getting through a busy morning.
However, her statement should not be mistaken for confirmation that she has booked or scheduled a facelift. She described it as something she would like to do one day, leaving the timing open.
The Cosmetic Treatments She Has Discussed
In a separate Vogue interview published on 3 September 2026, Lawrence revealed that she receives what is commonly known as 'baby Botox', a more subtle approach to botulinum toxin injections.
'Yeah, because I can't really get very much done. I need to have movement in my face — I get baby Botox, but I can't do a lot,' she said.
Lawrence also explained that she prefers a fresh-looking complexion over trying to eliminate every sign of ageing. 'If my skin is going to be a little saggier than I would like, at least it looks dewy and pretty,' she added.
The actress has spoken about procedures she finds less appealing. Discussing fat transfers, she admitted: 'Oh, I'm really nervous about these fat transfers. I support other people doing them because I want to continue to watch and see what happens, but I don't know about that.'
She was similarly candid about buccal fat removal, a procedure that removes fat from the cheeks to create a more sculpted appearance. 'I mean, I would love to have a buccal fat removal,' she said. 'I can't because everybody would know, but just know that I want that.'
Her comments reveal a personal interest in cosmetic treatments along with concerns about how noticeable changes to her face might be.
Her Beauty Philosophy Goes Beyond Cosmetic Procedures
Lawrence's interest in looking polished also coincides with the launch of mes°, her haircare brand developed with Jasmina Aganovic, founder and chief executive of Arcaea.
The brand launched on 27 October 2026 with a philosophy centred on making beauty fit into everyday life rather than demanding more time and effort from consumers. Its debut collection includes a repair mask, a volume mist and a restyling serum.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the name, JLaw told an interviewer she didn't want the brand to promote an ideal of flawless hair. 'I had been thinking about hair products and starting hair products for years before I met Jasmina, and I knew I wanted it to be called mes° because I didn't want the goal to be my hair is perfect,' she said. 'I wanted something that would fit in with the messiness of life.'
The idea complements her school drop-off comments: Lawrence is open about wanting to look attractive, but she also recognises that real life rarely looks perfectly organised.
A Candid View of Beauty and Ageing
From discussing baby Botox to expressing interest in a future facelift, Jennifer Lawrence has shown a willingness to speak openly about cosmetic procedures that many celebrities choose not to discuss publicly. Her latest comments do not announce imminent surgery. Instead, they offer insight into her personal preferences as she navigates motherhood, ageing and a growing business venture.
For Lawrence, the ambition to be a 'sexy mom' appears to be about feeling confident in everyday life, even when the morning routine is far from glamorous. Her remarks add humour to a familiar desire: looking put-together without pretending everything is perfect.
