Kat Timpf has revealed she is pregnant with her second child more than a year after undergoing a double mastectomy following a breast cancer diagnosis, admitting the new pregnancy is both 'very exciting' and 'very, very difficult' for her family.
The Gutfeld! panellist, 37, surprised fans with the news during a stand-up comedy performance, lifting her jacket to reveal her baby bump. 'Are you guys surprised?' Timpf joked. 'So was I.'
A Diagnosis Just Hours Before Motherhood
The comedian later acknowledged the complicated emotions surrounding her second pregnancy after the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the birth of her first child.
Timpf and her husband, Cameron Friscia, welcomed their son in February 2025, about 15 hours after she was diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer.
She had noticed a bump on her nipple while pregnant and initially did not think much of it, believing the changes could simply be part of pregnancy. But after her doctor sent her for an ultrasound and biopsy, Timpf learned she had ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), an early form of breast cancer in which abnormal cells are contained within a milk duct.
The Decision That Changed Her Life
Doctors gave her the option of a lumpectomy followed by additional treatment and medication, or a double mastectomy. Timpf ultimately chose to have both breasts removed, undergoing the surgery roughly a month after giving birth.
Looking back on the decision, she has been candid about the emotional toll of losing her breasts immediately after becoming a mother. 'It's scary, but it's empowering,' she previously said.
'Losing your breasts forever is devastating, especially when you just gave birth and everyone asks you about breastfeeding. It's heartbreaking.'
She has also described the reality of becoming a new mother while simultaneously navigating cancer treatment, later undergoing reconstructive surgery and further procedures.
Timpf has said the experience changed her perspective on life and motherhood, while her son may have even helped save her life by prompting her to notice the abnormality during pregnancy.
'Very, Very Difficult' the Second Time Around

Appearing alongside her sister Julia on Fox & Friends on Thursday, 1 October, Timpf acknowledged that reality while discussing her sister's upcoming fundraising efforts for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. 'It's very exciting, but obviously a very, very difficult thing for our family,' she said.
'It is very difficult to be going through this second pregnancy without my breasts.' Timpf added. She has continued to use humour throughout her cancer journey, joking during her pregnancy reveal that her husband should get himself a vasectomy because she had 'had enough surgery'.
Finding a Positive in a Painful Chapter
The TV host's family has also turned her experience into an opportunity to help others. Julia is preparing to run the New York City Marathon on 1 November to raise money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where Timpf underwent her double mastectomy.
Timpf said the fundraiser gives her family a way to transform a painful experience into something positive. 'If we're able to raise money because this happened, then it's not just a negative thing anymore,' she said. 'It's a positive thing, giving us the opportunity to help other women and other families.'
For Timpf, the second pregnancy therefore marks a very different chapter from the first. Her first pregnancy ended with a cancer diagnosis and a newborn son arriving just hours later. This time, she is preparing to welcome another child while carrying the physical and emotional history of everything that followed.
Despite acknowledging how difficult that reality can be, Timpf is once again meeting it with humour, honesty and a growing family.
