Pharrell Williams has sparked speculation over a possible new adidas Adistar Jellyfish after being spotted in Paris wearing an oversized pair of grey and lime green trainers during Fashion Week. The trainers feature a sculpted upper, layered grey panels, a bright lime green heel and a thick black outsole. Their exaggerated proportions immediately bring the adidas Adistar Jellyfish to mind, raising the possibility that Pharrell could be wearing an early version of a follow-up.
Commenting on X, @aPOLARO1D says: 'Not sure on the CW but the model looks fire.' Neither adidas nor Pharrell has announced a name for the shoes or confirmed that they are the Adistar Jellyfish 2.0.

Why The Trainers Stand Out
The unusual look goes beyond the colourway. The upper appears deliberately oversized, with bulky layered sections sitting above a substantial sole. Rather than following the streamlined shape of many everyday adidas trainers, the design takes a more sculptural approach.
The lime green heel provides the biggest burst of colour against the otherwise muted grey upper, while the black outsole adds contrast underneath. Together, those elements give the shoes a futuristic feel and make them a particularly bold choice for a Fashion Week appearance. That exaggerated approach is also what makes the Jellyfish comparison so immediate.
The Jellyfish Connection
The original adidas Adistar Jellyfish is the clearest reference point for Pharrell's new pair. Developed through his long-running partnership with adidas, the trainer was built around a chunky, highly structured silhouette with layered construction and substantial proportions.
The original model was priced at around £225 ($300 USD) and released through limited drops. Its oversized design made it a distinctive part of Pharrell's adidas collaborations and provides useful context for the shoes now appearing in Paris.
The similarities are mainly visual, though. The new pair could eventually turn out to be a Jellyfish successor, but it could also belong to another Adistar project or be an unreleased adidas design with no connection to the Jellyfish name.
For now, the comparison is based on what can be seen rather than anything adidas has officially announced.
A Closer Look At Pharrell's Pair
The construction uses different panels and textures across the upper, creating a layered effect rather than a simple one-piece design. The lime green section becomes more prominent towards the back, wrapping around the heel and breaking up the otherwise neutral palette.
The result sits somewhere between a fashion statement and a conventional trainer. That feels fitting for Pharrell, whose adidas collaborations have often experimented with unconventional proportions, colours and silhouettes.
His appearance in Paris also puts the shoes in the right setting. Fashion Week is a natural stage for more experimental footwear, and Pharrell has a long history of using his own outfits to showcase unusual adidas designs.
What We Know So Far
There is still plenty that has not been confirmed. Pharrell has been seen wearing the trainers in Paris, but adidas has not publicly identified the model.
There is no confirmed "Jellyfish 2.0" name, release date, official colourway or retail price. Until adidas or Pharrell provides more information, the shoes should be treated as an unidentified new design rather than a confirmed sequel.
For now, the Paris sighting offers an intriguing glimpse at what could be another unconventional chapter in Pharrell's adidas partnership. Whether the shoes eventually become the next Adistar Jellyfish or turn out to be something else remains to be seen.
