Hailey Bieber's Rhode has turned a beauty essential into a handbag accessory with its latest launch, introducing miniature Pocket Pearl blushes that can be clipped directly onto a bag.
The $16 Pocket Pearls are a new, smaller version of Rhode's popular Pocket Blush, but the latest release comes with a noticeable twist: a reflective, shimmery finish and accessories designed to make the tiny makeup products part of an outfit.
Pocket-Sized and in Demand
The collection was created in collaboration with Alexandra Leclerc, Rhode's first official ambassador, and launched on 15 September.
The range originally included three shades — Gemini, Monet and Monaco — although availability has already changed following the launch. Page Six reported that one shade, along with the accompanying Rhode carabiner and matching Peptide Lip Tint, had sold out within 24 hours.
Rhode describes Pocket Pearl as a 'teeny take' on its cream blush, measuring just 2.5g. The product has been designed to deliver a sheer, buildable flush with a reflective finish, while the formula contains peptides and tamanu oil.
Is It a Bag Charm, Blush or Both?
But the most eye-catching part of the launch may not be the makeup itself.
Pocket Pearl comes with a looped cap that allows shoppers to attach the blush to Rhode's Flutter Charm or branded carabiner, turning the product into something that can hang from a handbag or other accessory. The Flutter Charm is priced at $8, while the carabiner costs $12.
The move taps into the continuing popularity of bag charms, where everyday handbags are increasingly being personalised with miniature accessories, trinkets and collectable objects. Rhode's approach takes that trend one step further by making the accessory an actual beauty product that can be used while on the go.
Pocket Pearl Shades
The Pocket Pearl shades were developed around Leclerc's aesthetic and personal references. Gemini is a shimmery candy pink, Monet is an apricot shade, and Monaco is a warm terracotta. The collection also includes Sweet Apple, a shimmery golden-brown shade of Rhode's Peptide Lip Tint, priced at $20.
Rhode has also packaged the products as a $56 Alexandra's Set, which includes one Pocket Pearl shade, the Sweet Apple Peptide Lip Tint, Flutter Charm and a carabiner.
The launch arrives after Rhode expanded beyond its original skincare-focused reputation, with the brand increasingly building a makeup line around the minimalist, luminous aesthetic associated with Bieber.
Hailey Bieber founded Rhode and remains the company's chief creative officer following its $1 billion acquisition by Elf Beauty in 2025. Her involvement continues to give the brand a strong celebrity-fashion connection, while collaborations such as the Leclerc collection add another layer of lifestyle appeal.
The Pocket Pearls also reflect Rhode's strategy of making products visually recognisable and highly portable. The original Pocket Blush was already designed to fit into a pocket or handbag; the new version turns that portability into part of the product's identity.
With several pieces selling out shortly after launch, the tiny blushes are already proving that, in the world of celebrity beauty, sometimes making a product smaller can make the hype considerably bigger.
