KATSEYE star Yoonchae Jeung has secured a major beauty industry milestone at just 18 after being named the first-ever North American Brand Ambassador for Korean skincare giant Dr.Jart+.
The South Korean singer will front the brand's latest Premium BB Cream campaign, marking a major partnership between the global K-pop scene and the booming K-beauty industry. Her appointment also highlights Dr.Jart+'s strategy of working with Korean music stars to introduce its skincare heritage to international audiences.
Announced on 30 October 2026, the partnership makes Yoonchae the first artist to hold the brand's North American ambassador title. It builds on Dr.Jart+'s previous collaborations with Korean performers, including K-pop boy band ENHYPEN, as the skincare label continues to connect its identity with the country's influential music industry.
Yoonchae Makes History With Dr.Jart+
Founded in Seoul in 2005, Dr.Jart+ has built its reputation around combining skincare science with creative branding and Korean beauty innovation. Its latest partnership brings together that heritage with Yoonchae's growing profile as a member of KATSEYE, the international girl group formed in 2024.
The group has gained international recognition through songs including 'Gnarly,' 'Gabriela' and 'Animal,' establishing its presence across music and popular culture. Dr.Jart+ described Yoonchae as a rising global talent whose influence extends across music, fashion and beauty, making her a fitting representative for the brand's latest campaign.
Ye Jin Kim, Dr.Jart+'s vice-president and global brand lead, said the partnership reflects the company's longstanding connection with Korean artists. She said: 'Music, especially K-pop, has always been an important part of how Dr.Jart+ shows up in culture.'
'We love collaborating with Korean artists to share our Korean roots with fans around the world,' Kim added.
The appointment is particularly notable given Dr.Jart+'s ownership by The Estée Lauder Companies, one of the world's major beauty groups. By selecting a young K-pop performer as its first North American ambassador, the brand is bringing together Korean cultural influence and an established international beauty business. The partnership also gives Dr.Jart+ an opportunity to connect with a younger generation of consumers.
Yoonchae Fronts $49 BB Cream Campaign
Yoonchae's new role will centre on Dr.Jart+'s Premium BB Cream, a skincare and make-up hybrid that the company describes as one of its signature complexion products. The formula has been reformulated with 2 per cent niacinamide and glycerin, with the brand highlighting its moisturising properties, skin barrier support and SPF 30 protection.
The product is designed to provide all-day coverage while delivering a natural 'glass skin' finish, a look closely associated with Korean beauty routines. It comes in eight shades and is priced at $49 (£37) for 40ml in the United States, with availability through Dr.Jart+'s website, Amazon, TikTok Shop and Sephora.
The accompanying campaign will take a digital-first approach, featuring behind-the-scenes moments, previously unseen user-generated content and a documentary-style video. It will follow the singer's busy schedule while presenting the BB Cream as part of her everyday beauty routine.
Yoonchae said maintaining a simple skincare routine helps her feel confident despite her demanding commitments as a performer. 'I have always believed that taking care of my skin is a way of taking care of myself,' she said.
'No matter how busy my schedule gets, I love having a simple routine that makes me feel confident and comfortable in my own skin. Dr.Jart+ has always felt fun and innovative to me,' she added.
The partnership further strengthens the connection between K-pop and the international beauty industry, with Korean performers increasingly representing skincare and cosmetics brands. For Dr.Jart+, Yoonchae's appointment brings its Korean heritage together with the international reach of one of the music industry's most influential young stars.
