Zuhair Murad is bringing its couture glamour a little closer to the high street with its first-ever collaboration with ALDO. The Lebanese fashion house has teamed up with the footwear and accessories brand for a 20-piece collection packed with sparkle to spare.
Launching on 2 November, the Zuhair Murad x ALDO collection translates some of the designer's signature couture codes into shoes, bags, and accessories. Sleek silhouettes, pearls, polished hardware, luminous finishes, and celestial details appear throughout the capsule, which was designed with celebrations firmly in mind. After all, the party mashup season of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year is officially upon us.
The collaboration also marks a first for ALDO, which described the partnership with Zuhair Murad as a defining moment for the brand. For shoppers more accustomed to admiring the designer's creations on red carpets, the collection offers a more accessible route into the fashion house's glamorous world.
Couture Meets the High Street
Zuhair Murad has built its name on the kind of gowns that rarely believe in making a quiet entrance. Intricate embellishments, dramatic silhouettes, and plenty of sparkle have become calling cards for the house, but squeezing all of that couture drama into a shoe or handbag presented a different challenge. Rather than simply stamping the Zuhair Murad name onto an existing design, the team looked towards the details that define its couture collections.

'In couture, so much begins with silhouette, proportion, craftsmanship and embellishment,' the Zuhair Murad team told ELLE Canada. 'We translated those codes into sculptural forms, luminous finishes, polished hardware, pearls, and celestial motifs.'
That approach is perhaps clearest in the collection's statement accessories. Among the standout designs is a sphere clutch covered in light-catching embellishments, turning the evening bag into something that could easily be mistaken for an oversized piece of jewellery or a celestial body borrowed from the night sky. The fashion house itself called the clutch 'almost like a jewel,' and it's easy to see why it wouldn't look out of place in a jewellery box.
Zuhair Murad Gives ALDO Heels the Couture Treatment
The shoes aren't exactly interested in blending into the background, either. A pointed-toe slingback was singled out by the Zuhair Murad team as another hero piece, while strappy heels throughout the collection continue the metallic, embellished aesthetic. Together with the bags and accessories, the designs take the house's familiar occasionwear glamour and mould it into pieces that don't require a couture fitting to wear.
For Zuhair Murad, that accessibility was part of the appeal. 'Couture is at the heart of Zuhair Murad. It is a world of emotion, craftsmanship and glamour, and this collaboration allows us to share it with a much wider audience,' the team said.
ALDO's global reach also helped seal the partnership. The fashion house pointed to the brand's expertise across footwear, handbags, and accessories, as well as its more than 200 million customers annually, as an opportunity to introduce Zuhair Murad to shoppers who may not have encountered the label beyond its red-carpet creations.
Judging by all those metallic finishes, pearls, and crystal-covered accessories, Zuhair Murad wasn't about to enter the high street on its tippy toes. If a handbag can double as jewellery, then consider the dress code golden.
